Housing and Assistance Project For Naturalized Refugees

KRDF implements  the project "Durable Solution on Chechen Refugees" funded by UNHCR.

Income generation

KRDF assists refugees in developing business ideas estimating costs and helping to fill in the grant applications for the project proposals. Income generation activities promote local integration of Chechen refugees in the host community.

Social projects

Social projects aim to help the indigent refugee families by purchasing for them cattle and poultry.

ICLA (Information Counseling and Legal Assistance) project

KRDF provides legal assistance to refugees and IDPs. The project is implemented with the support of UNHCR in the framework of NRC. The lawyers of KRDF conduct free legal consultations to the beneficiaries and represent them before administrative bodies and the court. The organization provides legal information to the beneficiaries and trainings on UNGP United Nations Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement.

Women clubs

In line with the Age Gender and Diverse Mainstreaming Strategy KRDF supports operation of women clubs in two villages Duisi and Omalo . The organization motivates and encourages the members of the club to participate in social life and assists them to enhance their skills and capacities. The women clubs organize various cultural activities, conduct meetings and trainings.

Educational  and Vocational Projects

Professional training and preparatory courses for school graduates/local Chechen Refugees. The Chechen Refugee children and students have an opportunity to receive free training in the following subjects: Geography, History, Basic Skills, English, Russian, Georgian and Chechen language. The project also provides 3-4 months of professional training courses in computer programs, culinary, felt and cutting - sewing, electric welding, carpentry and beekeeping. A certificate is issued upon completion.
