The Kakheti Regional Development Foundation is a community-based organisation working towards the betterment of the local population of the Kakheti Region in Georgia. Our focus is on the vulnerable population of the Pankisi Valley.

KRDF was set up in 2009 by the Akhmeta-based staff of the Norwegian Refugee Council who decided to carry out new social development projects after their mother organisation wound up. Through the generous funding of the European Union as well as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the PolishAid, the organisation was soon able to bring about significant and lasting change to that forgotten north-eastern valley of Georgia.

Today, KRDF is a household name in the Kakheti Region and particularly in the Pankisi Valey where the majority of our projects are carried out.
