Business grants

The Business Development Grants ("Small Grants") programme implemented across the Pankisi Valley aims at providing the vulnerable people – refugees and vulnerable locals alike – with the means to become self-reliant.

To-date, more than 150 micro-projects have been funded, ranging from agriculture to trade, car servicing, carpentry, shoemaking, electronic service centre, to cafés and bakeries. Over years, we have managed to achieve a success rate of over 85%, which means that the majority of refugee households now have at least one source of steady income.

The Small Grants programme has become possible thanks to the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the European Union, Polish Aid, the Government of The Netherlands, and Princess Haya Foundation.
